Scot Forge and Ellwood City Forge, a division of Ellwood Group, Inc. (EGI), are the two largest open-die forging companies in North America... possibly the world. NAF represents the only fully integrated manufacturer of open die forgings in the Western Hemisphere, from steelmaking to finish machining.


ELLWOOD GROUP, INC.


Founded as Ellwood City Forge in 1910 by two brothers, EGI’s family ownership continues to this day (now into a fifth generation). EGI is headquartered in Ellwood City, PA and is decentralized with nine operating units, each with its own president and bottom line. The units all focus on heavy metallic, engineered sections manufacturing iron castings, ingot steel making, open and closed die forging, extensive rough and finish machining capabilities, cladding and tool and die steel distribution.

SCOT FORGE

Scot Forge is proud to be a 100% employee-owned manufacturer of custom open die forgings and seamless rolled rings. Starting as a small hammer shop in Chicago in 1893, Scot Forge has over 125 years of forging experience. Today, the company has the capability to forge parts weighing up to 100,000 lbs. and roll seamless rings up to 252" in diameter. Operating with more than 1.3 million sq. ft. of manufacturing space between five plants, over 250 million lbs. of forgings are shipped from Scot Forge annually.
